Favourite places

Summer Morning at Rougham Farm
We have just got back from my favourite place (besides Muddy Paws Farm, of course!) on God's good earth - the Southern Drakensberg in KwaZulu-Natal!  If I were given a choice to go anywhere in the world, it would have to be there - although the Italian pasta and French lavender fields in Europe might come a close second!

Weeping Willow
We stayed at a beautiful, homely stone cottage on  Rougham Farm, fishing on the dams, listening to the cattle, breathing the sweet, clean air and taking long, exhilirating walks in what has to be some of the most beautiful surroundings in the world.  From the early morning mist, to the rambling rose covered fences, to the still reflecting beauty of the dams, to the beauty of the summer Arum lilies set against an aged pole and wire fence, not forgetting the vista of the Drakensberg mountains as a framework - each moment will be treasured and revisited over and over again.

I stand in awe of the Creator's incredible blessing of abundant beauty.
