Lavender Weddings

I just love lavender weddings!  Unfortunately, a lot of brides tend to set their hearts on a lavender wedding, only to be disappointed when told that the lavender is really not at its best in the winter.  Not so with a wedding which will be held just this weekend - it is to be a beautiful country wedding, with the new bride moving on to her husband's dairy farm.  The bride's mother has been busy with all the arrangements and the young couple came to visit Muddy Paws to get some lavender plants for their garden - 40 plants in total, and what a wonderful that sight is going to be!  The lavender is at it's best now, end of October going into November and pushing out blooms left, right and centre!

This morning I also hand picked 600 stems of lavender for the wedding bouquets and floral arrangements.  The little bunches were so pretty and when the mother of the bride arrived she was delighted at the sight of the twelve little bundles neatly wrapped in tissue paper, ready for transport.  I can't wait to see the photos!
