Spring is nearly here, and the first lavender harvest happened yesterday - the new dentata bushes in the top field have begun to bloom, and around 780g have been harvested and hung to dry. Nick took some photos which will be posted here soon.  I am waiting anxiously for the Margaret Roberts bushes to bloom.  They were pruned heavily, so time will tell...

Goose has been plucking down from her breast and looking very much as if she would like to nest.  She laid an egg a week ago, but Ernest brought it up to the house as she had laid it out in the open.  We have also found an Egyptian Goose egg, probably from our home-reared Ramses (female!) who visits us every year.
